SUNBEAM LITERATURE

More than any other motorcycle that I have encountered , with Sunbeams you need to read the instructions !!!!!. Athough Sunbeams get a mention in lots of publications , the ones listed here contain real information .

THE SUNBEAM OWNERS BEDSIDE BOOK

, from Stewart Engineering . This is the basic source of information on the maintenance of Sunbeams , written in the 1960s by Bob and Chines Stewart ,the founders of Stewart Engineering , it tells it like it is and does not gloss over the problems .

THE ILLUSTRATED PARTS LIST

, also from Stewarts , a very easy to use parts finding system based on the original exploded drawings , which are a Godsend if you are trying to sort out a box full of assorted parts which may or may not be Sunbeam .

SUNBEAM S7 AND S8 SUPER PROFILE

, by Robert Gordon Champ , Haynes Publications . Contains a lot of history and many excellent photographs , especially detail ones .

THE ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF SUNBEAM BICYCLES AND MOTORCYCLES

, also by Robert Gordon Champ ,Haynes Publications . Contains some history and photographs of S7 and S8s ,mainly of background interest .

SUNBEAM S7 & S8

, by Pitmans , you sometimes come across this one at autojumbles , contains a lot of useful information , but since it was written while the bikes were still in production it gives the distinct impression that the author was trying very hard not to say anything bad , he probably had BSA breathing down his neck .
